dumme spørgsmål ang bluetooth

Jeg har ingen erfaring med bluetooth, men nu har jeg fået en telefon med bluetooth, så jeg vil gerne igang med det. Jeg kører Ubuntu 7.10 på egen kerne.

1) Jeg er ikke sikker på om min laptop (IBM T41) har indbygget bluetooth. Ting der taler for: a) der er et bluetooth symbol vedsiden af wlan indikatoren og b) dmesg taler om bluetooth. Ting der taler imod: c) btscanner siger "No Bluetooth devices available", d) "sudo lshw | grep -i blue" returnerer intet. Hvordan finder jeg ud af om jeg har noget bluetooth i laptoppen og om det evt skal "aktiveres" med relevante kernemoduler eller andet? (NB: jeg har ingen windows at checke ting efter i...)

2) Hvis det så viser sig jeg ikke har noget bletooth indbygget, kan jeg så bare købe en usb-dongle og forvente at den virker? Noget man skal gå efter/udenom her?
