Den er jeg med på. Det jeg pt. prøver er at starte min kopierede Gentoo op,
på min nye HD, uden andre HDere forbundet.

Men når jeg kun har en HD i maskinen, er det stadig root (hd0,0) der skal
stå?. Jeg mener at "0,0" referer til HD nr 1, partition nr 1, hvor
så /boot/grub ligger?.

Det bliver det også - tror jeg ;o) Når jeg booter på min nye HD - og kun har
den i maskinen - så er grub.conf;

default 0
timeout 10
splashimage=(hd0,0)/grub/splash.xpm.gz

title=Gentoo Linux 2.6.21-r4

root(hd0,0)

kernel /kernel-2.6.21-gentoo-r4 root=/dev/hda2 vga=0x31A


og de nye dele af min fstab;

/dev/hda1               /boot           ext2            defaults,noatime        1 2     
/dev/hda2               /               ext3            noatime         0 1

Men det vil ikke?. Jeg får; 

VFS: Cannot open device hda2 or unknown block (0,0) Please append a
correct "root=" option. Men den er jo korrekt?. Gad vide hvad jeg overser?.
