Når du bruger kommandoen " dd if=/dev/hda of=/dev/hdb ", så laver du en
nøjagtig kopi af hele din HDA-disk.
Det vil sige, at du også kopierer MBR MasterBootRecord, hvori der er oplysninger
om partitioners størrelse og placering.

Det er der, filmen er knækket. Disse oplysninger har du fået lagt på dit nye drev.

Du skal med "fdisk" få lavet en fornuftig partitionering af dit nye drev.
Derefter kan du kopiere din gamle hda1 direkte over i din nye hdb1.

Det du derefter kan få lidt vrøvl med, er at få lagt henvisningen til dit
boot-loader-program (grub) i masterbootrecord, så linux vil blive startet op.

Hvis du med en system-cd kan starte linux op på den nye disk, så kan du fra denne
meget nemt "erobre" MBR tilbage.
