Give det en IP adresse.

Kun hvis det er konfigureret med en IP adresse, eller hvis
du explicit skriver "ifconfig eth0" (ifconfig viser default
kun de interfaces der er aktive).

Du kan chekke om Linux overhovedet kan finde dit netkort ved
at kigge på de beskeder, der kommer frem når maskinen booter.
Du kan som regel finde dem logget i /var/log/boot.log eller
/var/log/dmesg

Hvis Linux kender dit ethernet kort, så skal der stå en linie
med "eth0" i filen /proc/net/dev .
